One of my favorite blogs on writing is Lynn Viehl's Paperback Writer. She's been in the business of writing for awhile now, and I find about 99.9% of her advice to be worth listening to, even if it doesn't always apply to my situation. I also love that she doesn't try to sell you anything or push her opinion on to her readers. It's a very free-spirited atmosphere at PBW and an environment suitable for writers of all levels and genres. I've learned a few things about the industry from her over the last few years. I try to stop by her blog daily, and right now, every Wednesday, she is posting things related to NaNoWriMo. I suggest that if you are also a NaNoWriMo-er, popping on over and seeing what kind of goodies she has to offer. She is even offering a free PDF of her writing guide. I have not read it yet, but it is awfully nice of her to give it away for free to us NaNoWriMo-ers. Because let's face it, just the fact that we're trying to write 50,000 words in 30 days is a sign that we need help. :)
