Diane D. Gillette

Diane D. Gillette first started writing stories in the dentist office waiting room one boring afternoon when she was seven, and she never really stopped. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and later earned her MAT from the University of Chicago. (Because teaching writing is almost as much fun as actually writing.) She's had more than 60 of her short stories and prose poems published in various literary magazines since 2006. She is a founding member of the Chicago Literary Writers, a small writing group that offers community and support to literary writers in the Chicago area. She lives, writes, and teaches in Chicago. In her free time, she's probably reading a book, experimenting with plant-based cooking, doing something crafty, or enjoying some couch time with her two cats and the love of her life.
