A very timely micro memoir piece of mine is up at Five Minutes today. It is timely because this is very much the back-to-school time of year, but last week was also the 25th anniversary of my father's death. I'm pleased that this found a home when it did.

Through all the ups and downs of 2020, one positive thing that emerged was some pieces of writing I feel truly proud of. "Stingrays in Captivity" is a flash that came out of a really stressful time last year, and I love that it is out in the world for others to read now. You can find it over at "Lost Balloon" today.

Ever since I discovered Ethel Zine online, I have loved the idea of hand sewn literary magazines. As someone who makes handmade journals myself (when time allows), I know how much time and effort goes in to hand sewing a book and I treasure the idea of having a piece of my writing being included in such a work of art. I am happy to report that my wish has come true! You can read my flash fiction We're All Just Trying to Make It to January 2nd in Ethel 7, available for purchase. Issues are limited!
Edited to add: My story is now available to read online without purchase. Check it out here!
